This class is usually held on the second Sunday of each month
9.30am - 12 noon

Not suitable for complete beginners

Hilary brings over 35 years of yoga and bodywork teaching and her unique style to this once a month yoga class. The pace is unhurried so that we have time to explore the postures, allowing everybody to work within their own ability and range of movement.



If you haven't been to one of these classes before, this is a great class to immerse yourself in some yoga, with lots of time to let yourself go deeply into the practice.
Classes tend to develop as we go along but mostly we work with the breath, focusing on engaging the deep core muscles and working into the hips, sh oulders and spine from a strong centre. We will also look at how to improve posture and practice some balancing.
This class is soft and strong, energising and powerful ending with a deeply relaxing lying down meditation. A lovely way to spend a Sunday morning!

Being strong, staying loose
This class is suitable for people with some yoga experience. The pace will be unhurried, allowing everybody to work within their own ability and range of fitness.
Yoga is about body awareness and movement and yoga postures are not about striving to make beautiful shapes, but about finding our own movement while coming from a strong and open centre. Working with the breath, inner attention and the support of the ground we will explore how we can cultivate a looseness in the body while retaining strength in our yoga practice. 
We will finish with a deeply relaxing yoga nidra meditation
